In 1981, David Langford started Langford Construction. The company started out strictly building homes, primarily log homes. He was building for a Real Log Home dealer in the Dallas-Ft. Worth metroplex, and when that dealer returned to his homestate California, (where he is still a Real Log Home dealer), David was able to get the dealership. At that point, the company not only built homes but also started selling homes and working with customers on designing their dream homes.

Over the years, obviously many things changed. The business grew and was incorporated with the slight name change to Langford Construction, Inc. As styles and trends changed, so did our models. We are currently in our 3rd model, over our 28-year existence.

We found it important that our own crews do most of the work on the homes that we are building. This gives us the ability to monitor and be responsible for the quality and craftsmanship of the product that we are building. We “sub” out very little on our homes. Professional crews do both the rough work---log work and framing, and the interior trim and finish out of each home. Different crews do different things so that each person on each crew is working in their area of expertise.
